What is Aggiorno?

In a nutshell, Aggiorno is a Visual Studio 2005/2008 add-in that assists you, the Web developer, in accomplishing complex tasks in a fraction of the time it would otherwise take. Since you can leverage your knowledge of the standard Visual Studio interface, Aggiorno’s learning curve is gentle – you will feel at home using Aggiorno right away.

It works by carrying out a series of automated code corrections (which we call Aggiornings) to a section of code, a file, or a group of files. Regardless of whether you are working with legacy code or developing new Web Sites, every Aggiorning you apply will take your ASP sites one step closer to full XHTML compliance.

If you find that the transformations you’d like to use aren’t described here, you’ll be glad to hear that Aggiorno is fully expandable. More and more Aggiornings will be released on continuous basis, which can easily be added to your current installation. And once we provide an Aggiorno SDK in the near future, you will be able to author, download, and share plug-ins via our developer community.
